You can also play in one of the many community bands such as the Sacramento symphonic winds or the Sacramento community band. Many of the musicians in these groups are retired professionals from the Bay area so you will be playing with some exceptional musicians. Most groups are voluntary but some require auditions.
The Sacramento Community concert Association has been bringing to performers to the area since the 1950s.
