Above the Law – This is Steven Segal’s breakout movie. He plays a Chicago Policeman who takes matters into his own hands. As the title implies, he is ‘above the law’. He uses his large body and martial arts skills to inflict disorder on the bad guys. Stars include Steven Segal, Pam Grier, and Sharon Stone.

Rhapsody in Blue – Hollywood biography of George Gershwin is largely fiction, although comes off better than most other composer biographies, seizing Gershwin’s excitement for his work, and some of his central conflicts. Cast includes Robert Aida, Joan Leslie, Alexis Smith, Oscar Levant, Charles Coburn, Hazel Scott, and Al Jolson.

Gordon’s War – When a Vietnam vet comes home to find his spouse caught on medications, he trains a gentleman army to defeat the pushers. Excellent action, although gets lost toward the end. Cast includes Paul Winfield, Carl Lee, David Downing, and Tony Baron.
